INTEGRATIONS
Your tools should work together.
A service company should be able to move information between the systems it depends on. Explore the integration approach planned for ServiceCanopy.

Start with the data that moves every day
Common integration needs include customer records, invoices, payments, communications, and reporting. Before selecting a connector, identify which system owns each field and what should happen when two versions disagree.

Ask for a working connection, not a logo
An integration directory can look impressive while hiding important gaps. Request the supported actions, setup steps, update timing, error messages, and retry behavior. A connection that only exports a CSV is not the same as two-way synchronization.

Keep imports and exports practical
Clean CSV imports can be valuable when switching systems or working with a partner. Export access also matters: your customer and job information should not become impossible to retrieve when processes change.

Give developers clear tools
A thoughtful API and webhook design includes authentication, permissions, versioning, rate limits, useful examples, and reliable delivery logs. Those details matter more to an enterprise buyer than broad claims of unlimited connectivity.

A practical checklist
- Write down the system that owns each shared field before choosing a sync direction.
- Ask to see a working action and its failure log, not just a provider logo.
- Test duplicate and out-of-order webhook events with no duplicate financial records.
- Review export coverage and what happens after a key is revoked.
Good questions
What else would
you like to know?
Which systems are already integrated?
The published connection list must be confirmed against working code and provider settings. Request the current inventory before buying.
Can a developer build a custom integration?
REST APIs and webhooks are part of the planned platform foundation. Verify the endpoints, scopes, and production readiness.
Can we export our records?
Export formats and coverage must be tested. Ask for a sample export of the data you care about.
