THE PLATFORM
From the first call to the final payment.
A growing service business needs a simple way to connect the office, the crew, the customer, and the money. Explore the workflow ServiceCanopy is being built around.
In development · workflows described here are planned. Availability, supported devices, and limits have not been verified.
The right next step.

The first call matters
Start with a good customer record: who called, where service is needed, what equipment is involved, and what problem they described. A clear intake process avoids guessing later. The office should be able to find repeat customers and past visits without digging through old messages.

Give the schedule a single source of truth
The dispatch board should connect appointments with technician skills, working hours, service areas, job duration, and time off. When a customer calls back or a job runs long, the office needs to understand which other appointments may be affected before it makes a promise.

Help the crew finish cleanly
On site, the useful details are practical: address, contact, access instructions, equipment notes, work description, photos, and approved next steps. A technician should not have to call the office just to find information already entered earlier.

Close the loop with customers and finance
Completed work should produce a clear record of what happened. That record can support customer follow-up, estimating, invoicing, and payment reconciliation. Owners then need the answers that matter: which jobs are waiting, where the team is booked, and what has not yet been collected.
Example to try: Follow one water heater installation: intake records the model and address; scheduling reserves enough time; the technician adds completion notes; billing references the approved work; management reviews the job record.

A practical checklist
- Follow a repeat customer with two properties and confirm which site every service note belongs to.
- Move a scheduled visit and check whether the technician receives updated information once, not twice.
- Reconcile an approved estimate against the final invoice and any deposit or payment recorded.
- Ask for an export of the same example job and confirm the IDs and dates are intelligible.
Good questions
What else would
you like to know?
Does ServiceCanopy replace every system on day one?
That is a product goal, not a promise about the current build. Verify the available modules and necessary integrations in your walkthrough.
Can our team keep its existing accounting tools?
Integration options must be verified one by one. List your accounting system, data needs, and billing workflow during evaluation.
How do different roles use the platform?
The proposed experience separates office scheduling, technician work, management oversight, and administration so each role sees relevant actions.
