1. WHO WE ARE AND WHAT THIS POLICY COVERS
The Web Corner, Inc. ("TWC," "we," "us," or "our") provides ServiceCanopy under the brand ServiceCanopy by TWC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information through ServiceCanopy.com, demo and information requests, account administration, support, and the Services we make available.
When a contractor or other business uses ServiceCanopy to manage its customer or employee records, that business generally determines how those records are used, and we process them on its behalf under our agreement. Its privacy and employment notices also apply to its activities. This Policy does not replace those notices or govern unrelated TWC products or third-party websites.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The information involved depends on your interaction with us and the features you use:
- Contact and business information: name, business name, role, business contact details, service area, and information supplied in an inquiry, demo request, or correspondence.
- Account information: user identifiers, login and authentication records, preferences, permissions, and administrative activity.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, pages or features used, approximate location inferred from an IP address, timestamps, diagnostic information, and security logs.
- Commercial and billing information: selected plan, orders, invoices, payment status, and limited payment references when paid Services are used. Payment providers handle payment credentials through their payment interfaces.
- Customer-controlled records: contacts, service addresses, job details, estimates, invoices, correspondence, attachments, and workforce information supplied through enabled business features.
- Communications and preferences: support messages, feedback, requests, marketing preferences, and records of consent or withdrawal.
We receive information directly from you, from the business administering your account, through your use of the Services, and from providers or integrations you authorize. Please do not submit unnecessary sensitive information. A service address or approximate IP-based location is different from continuous or precise device-location tracking.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use personal information to respond to inquiries and demo requests; create and manage accounts; provide selected functions and support; administer orders and billing; protect security and prevent misuse; diagnose problems and improve service operation; keep required records; and comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
We may communicate about ServiceCanopy products or updates in accordance with applicable law and your choices. You can opt out of promotional communications as described below. Necessary account, security, billing, and legal notices are separate from marketing.
For records held on behalf of a contractor or other business, we follow that business's lawful instructions and our agreement. We do not use its homeowner or employee records for our own unrelated marketing or to train general-purpose or cross-customer AI models.
4. HOW INFORMATION IS DISCLOSED
We disclose information only for the purposes described in this Policy, including to:
- Providers that help us host, secure, maintain, communicate about, support, or administer the Services, subject to appropriate restrictions for their work.
- Authorized users and administrators of the relevant business account, according to their permissions.
- Payment providers and other integrations when you or your business requests or authorizes their services. Some providers handle information independently for their own legal, fraud-prevention, or service obligations, under their own privacy notices.
- Professional advisers, authorities, or other recipients when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect legal rights, address fraud or security concerns, or respond to lawful process.
- Parties involved in a potential or completed merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of the business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards.
We may also disclose information at your valid direction. A shared company brand does not by itself authorize one business to access another business's records.
5. SALE, ADVERTISING, COOKIES, AND BROWSER SIGNALS
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use ServiceCanopy customer records to build advertising audiences for other businesses.
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for functions such as sign-in, security, preferences, and understanding how our own Services perform. Our initial ServiceCanopy website does not use advertising pixels or third-party trackers for cross-site targeted advertising. Providers supporting site functions or service measurement may receive technical information needed for that work, subject to applicable restrictions; we do not authorize them to use that information for cross-site advertising.
You can manage cookies through your browser. Blocking necessary cookies may affect sign-in or other functions. If we introduce optional tracking that requires a choice or consent, we will provide the applicable notice and controls before activating it.
Our no-sale and no-cross-context-advertising practices apply whether or not your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. There is no sale or advertising sharing to stop under these practices. A browser's separate Do Not Track (DNT) signal does not change necessary cookies, ordinary site operation, or security logging. We do not treat either signal as permission to disregard choices you have already made.
6. EMAIL, TEXT MESSAGES, AND OPTIONAL DATA FEATURES
Use the unsubscribe link in a promotional email or contact us to stop marketing email. We may retain limited suppression information so that a later import or contact does not undo your choice.
If you separately enroll in a text-message program, its enrollment notice explains the sender, purpose, and applicable terms. Consent is not required to purchase Services. Where supported by that program, reply STOP to stop messages or HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies and carrier message and data rates may apply. We do not provide mobile numbers, SMS opt-in information, or consent records to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. Providers may process that information as needed to deliver and administer the authorized program.
A contractor using ServiceCanopy is responsible for its own messaging permissions and notices. Consent to one business's messages does not authorize another business's marketing.
Precise device-location tracking, call recording or transcription, and features that send personal information to an AI provider require additional feature-specific explanations and any necessary permissions before use. This Policy is not a request for blanket consent to those activities. We will explain their relevant data use, providers, and choices before enabling them for you.
7. RETENTION
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, subject to legal obligations and valid deletion requests. We determine retention by the information's purpose and sensitivity, whether an account or business relationship remains active, support needs, applicable recordkeeping rules, and the time reasonably needed to address security issues or legal claims.
Inquiry and marketing records are retained while reasonably needed to respond or maintain a permitted business relationship. Account and billing records are retained for service administration and applicable accounting or legal requirements. Security and diagnostic records are retained for security, investigation, and troubleshooting needs. Suppression and consent records may be retained to document and honor communication choices.
Customer-controlled records follow the applicable service agreement and lawful customer instructions, including the export and deletion process when an account ends. Backup copies and records subject to a legal hold may remain longer, with restricted access and use, until the applicable backup cycle or legal requirement ends. We do not retain information indefinitely merely because it may be useful in the future.
8. SECURITY AND PROCESSING LOCATIONS
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and Services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Protect your login details and notify us promptly of suspected misuse. This Policy does not claim that ServiceCanopy holds a particular certification or guarantees that a security incident cannot occur.
The Services are intended primarily for U.S. businesses. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where authorized providers operate, subject to applicable contractual and legal safeguards. Where a particular service requires additional international-transfer arrangements, we will address those arrangements before the relevant processing.
9. YOUR REQUESTS AND PRIVACY RIGHTS
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we control. Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may also have rights to receive a portable copy, obtain details of collection and disclosure, opt out of sale or sharing or targeted advertising, limit certain uses of sensitive information, withdraw consent, or appeal a denied request. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you or conduct profiling that produces legal or similarly significant decisions about you.
Submit a request through the online form or telephone number in Section 12, identifying it as a ServiceCanopy privacy request. You do not need to create an account to submit a request. We may reasonably verify your identity before releasing, changing, or deleting information and may request evidence of an authorized agent's authority. We will not require identity verification for an opt-out request where prohibited. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain an applicable exception or denial. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
To appeal a decision where an appeal right applies, contact us through the same methods and identify the request as a privacy appeal. We will review it and explain the result and any further complaint options required by applicable law.
For information controlled by a contractor or employer using ServiceCanopy, contact that business first. You may also contact us with enough information to identify the relevant business; we will route the request and assist as required by our agreement and applicable law.
10. CHILDREN
ServiceCanopy is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for our own website, account, or marketing activities. If you believe a child has provided such information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Business users should avoid including unnecessary information about children in job notes, photographs, or attachments.
11. POLICY UPDATES
We may update this Policy as the Services and our practices change. The updated version will show its effective date. We will provide additional notice and obtain consent where required for material changes. A later policy does not by itself authorize a materially different use of previously collected information where additional notice or consent is required.
